Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about TalaPro — for talent and clients.

General

TalaPro is a managed remote staffing platform that connects Filipino remote professionals with US and Canadian businesses. We handle the matching, vetting, contracts, and payments so both sides can focus on the work.

Our tagline: Bright Talent. Built for Business.

TalaPro was founded to solve a real gap in the remote staffing market — connecting the exceptional talent pool in the Philippines with US and Canadian small and mid-sized businesses that need skilled remote professionals but lack the infrastructure to find, vet, and manage them.

Filipino professionals are globally recognized for their strong English proficiency, work ethic, adaptability, and alignment with Western business culture. At the same time, SMBs — especially in trades and services industries — struggle to find reliable remote operational staff.

TalaPro exists to bridge that gap with a fully managed, transparent, and ethical platform — where talent are treated as professionals, paid fairly and on time, and clients get reliable, vetted talent without the overhead of building their own remote hiring process.

Zero fees to talent. Always. This is not just a policy — it's a founding principle.

Talent: Filipino remote professionals based in the Philippines seeking stable, USD-compensated remote work with US and Canadian businesses.

Clients: US and Canadian businesses looking to hire skilled remote professionals for operational roles.

Yes — completely. TalaPro operates on a zero-fee promise to talent. Talent are never charged any platform fees, placement fees, or commissions. All revenue comes from client subscriptions and placement fees only. This is a core, non-negotiable commitment.

TalaPro's initial focus is remote operational roles supporting US trade businesses — particularly those in the Nexstar Network (HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical). Current role categories include Remote Dispatcher, Customer Service Representative (CSR), and Bookkeeper/Auditor. Additional categories will expand based on client demand.

TalaPro acts as intermediary for all engagements. Key protections include:

  • NDA execution before any identity is revealed between parties
  • CLM contracts fully signed by both parties before work begins
  • Salary routing through TalaPro — talent are never exposed to payment uncertainty
  • Non-solicitation — clients cannot hire TalaPro-introduced talent directly outside the platform
  • Audit logging of all billing, contract, and engagement actions

For Talent

Click Join as Talent and complete our 7-step signup:

  1. Account Setup — name, email, password
  2. Personal & Rate — location, timezone, USD rate, bio
  3. Skills — category and skills with proficiency levels
  4. Work History — previous roles and employers
  5. Work Setup — internet connection, background, work location
  6. Resume — PDF or Word upload (required)
  7. Video Introduction — 45–60 second video via upload, QR mobile, or webcam

Your profile is reviewed by the TalaPro team before going live.

Your video must be between 45 and 60 seconds. Tell clients who you are, what you do best, and why you're the right person. Keep it professional and conversational. You can upload a file, scan a QR code to record on your phone, or record directly in the browser via webcam.

Once the TalaPro team approves your profile, you'll see a "Visible to clients" badge on your dashboard. Profiles are displayed anonymously — your name and photo are not revealed until both parties sign an NDA at the introduction stage.

The TalaPro team manages the process:

  1. You're notified of the opportunity — no client identity revealed yet
  2. An NDA is sent to both parties for signing
  3. Once both sign, identities are revealed
  4. A formal engagement contract is prepared and executed
  5. Your engagement goes active

You must sign your NDA within 72 hours of receiving it to remain matched with that opportunity.

Yes. You may decline at any stage before signing the engagement contract. Repeated declines or non-responses to NDA signing requests may affect your matching priority. TalaPro tracks reliability to ensure clients receive dependable matches.

Talent on TalaPro are engaged as independent contractors, not employees. TalaPro does not provide employment benefits, withhold taxes, or remit statutory contributions. You are responsible for your own tax compliance including W-8BEN and BIR filing where applicable.

No. TalaPro is a remote work platform only. We do not sponsor, assist with, or facilitate any type of US or Canadian visa or immigration process. All talent work remotely from the Philippines and are not required to travel to or relocate to the US or Canada. TalaPro does not issue employment authorization documents, support visa petitions, or provide immigration advice of any kind.

If you are contacted by anyone claiming to offer a visa or relocation as part of a TalaPro engagement, please report it immediately to [email protected] as this may be fraudulent.

When an engagement concludes — at the end of a fixed term or after a 30-day notice period — your profile automatically returns to the active talent pool. You'll be asked for brief feedback on the engagement, kept internal and used to improve the platform.

For Clients

Click Join as Client or reach out via the Contact page. After submitting your application, the TalaPro team will review and approve your account within 2 business days. Once approved and subscribed, you can browse talent and submit expressions of interest.

Both tracks are available under the same monthly subscription — pricing is disclosed during client onboarding. You choose your track at EOI submission:

Track 1 — Browse & Hire

You browse anonymized profiles and select a candidate. Best when you know what you need.

Track 2 — Managed Search

Submit a brief and TalaPro finds and presents the best match. Best when you need expert sourcing.

You can upgrade from Track 1 to Track 2 before the introduction stage begins.

EOI stands for Expression of Interest — it's how you formally signal to TalaPro that you want to hire. Submitting an EOI kicks off the engagement workflow: admin review, talent matching, NDA, and contract. An active subscription is required to submit an EOI.

You can decline a proposed match at any stage before signing the contract. TalaPro will find an alternative — a recruit fee (Track 2 only) covers all matching attempts for a single EOI request and is disclosed during client onboarding. Track 1 has no recruit fee.

If you decline within 48 hours of introduction and before either party signs the NDA, the Track 2 recruit fee is automatically waived.

Yes. Fixed-term engagements can be renewed via a contract amendment — no hire fee on renewal. If the renewal involves a rate change over 20% or a role change, standard hire fees apply as it's treated as a new placement.

Yes. Re-engaging a previously engaged talent is streamlined at a reduced placement fee — no recruit fee applies since the talent is already known to you. Fee details are outlined in your Client Services Agreement.

Either party can initiate closure with 30 days written notice through the platform. Fixed-term contracts run to their end date unless both parties agree to early termination via a signed amendment. TalaPro continues processing salary payments through the full notice period.

On cancellation:

  • Fees are non-refundable — access continues through end of billing period
  • Open EOIs are closed and unsigned contracts are voided
  • Active engagements enter pending closure — TalaPro continues processing payments
  • A 12-month non-solicitation window begins

If you hire a TalaPro-introduced talent directly outside the platform within 12 months of cancelling your subscription, a conversion fee applies as outlined in your Client Services Agreement. Resubscribing does not reset this window.

Fees & Billing

TalaPro charges a single monthly subscription rate — the same for both Track 1 and Track 2 — giving you full access to the platform and the ability to submit EOIs. Exact pricing is disclosed during client onboarding.

Placement fees vary by service track and are structured around the work TalaPro performs on your behalf. Full fee details are provided during client onboarding and outlined in your Client Services Agreement. There are no hidden fees — everything is disclosed before you commit.

To learn more, contact us and we'll walk you through the full fee structure.

No. Subscription fees are non-refundable. No partial month credits are issued upon cancellation. Your access continues through the end of the current billing period.
